Job description

Harden is currently looking for an Administrative Assistant and Projects. The candidate will join a young and dynamic environment.

Head office: Vaudreuil

Position: Full time (40 hours per week)

Duties and responsibilities

  • Opening CNESST files: Compile and submit necessary documentation;
  • Excavation coordination: Gather required excavation information and manage activities to ensure work safety;
  • Safety collaboration: Work with safety officers to develop and implement the prevention program;
  • Insurance: help with the process of subscribing to construction insurance and provide requires documents to insurers;
  • Evaluate tenant needs: Assist in the daily assessment of needs for new tenants;
  • Support the Project Manager:
    • Organize workshop drawings;
    • Maintain a cost database related to change orders and regularly communicate with subcontractors;
  • Coordinate site-related activities:
    • Attend meetings and participate in quality control follow-ups.
    • Work with the superintendent on timeline advancements.
    • Ensure the smooth operation of the site and manage certain technical files.
    • Prepare subcontractor contracts and participate in the negotiation process.
  • Assist the project manager with financial tasks, including creating POs and monthly invoicing;
  • Administrative Coordination: Collaborate with the Vice President and Director on administrative and logistical tasks and serve as a point of contact for information between teams.
  • Other related tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • Experience in the construction field;
  • 2 years of experience in a similar position as a project manager assistant;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to work in a team and adapt to changes;
  • Ability to execute tasks quickly while maintaining high-quality work;
  • Self-sufficient with good initiative;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Proficient in MS Office software;
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and follow-up is required;
  • French and English language, spoken and written are required.
