Construction Director

Harden is currently looking for a Construction Director. The candidate will join a young and dynamic environment.

Head office: Vaudreuil and construction sites

Position: Permanent

• Prepare budgets and calendars for current and / or future projects;
• Manage and analyze the cost estimate preparation process for development projects to obtain contracts;
• Manage the execution of constructions projects with subcontractors and employees;
• Review and approve all construction plan before the deadlines;
• Manage construction schedules, as well as site personnel and manage site reports on a weekly basis;
• Review all work in progress to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, building codes and company standards;
• Motivate and train project managers and construction workers;
• Ensure that site safety programs are respected;
• Ensures all codes, municipal and government laws are enforced on all sites;
• Maintain customer relationships and manage conflict resolution
• Inspect all construction sites for quality control throughout the construction process by visiting on construction sites, instructing staff, meeting and educating contractors;
• Participate in coordination with professionals;
• Good knowledge of civil engineering as well as construction methods and plans;
• Participate in meetings with professionals (draft and statutory);
• All other work related to the group's construction activities.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position (Experience in building both industrial and commercial);
• A minimum of 5 years experience in management;
• Good communication and negotiation skills, autonomy, initiative, and a sense of organization;
• Good knowledge and skills in construction project management;
• Ability to manage several files simultaneously and good tolerance for work under pressure;
• Good knowledge of the Office suite, MS Project and Yardi (an asset) and easy with new technologies;
• Master the French and English language, spoken and written.
